Established in 2007, the Jarislowsky Dimma Mooney Chair in Corporate Governance draws together the teaching and research strengths of Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business. The Chair contributes to the Schools’ joint expertise in corporate governance as it relates to transnational corporations and specific business regions of the world, and to teaching and research activities in the field of corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
The Chair has been held since its inception by Edward Waitzer, former Chair of the Ontario Securities Commission, a partner at Stikeman Elliott LLP, and Director of the Jay and Barbara Hennick Centre for Business and Law of which the Chair is a part.
The Jarislowsky Dimma Mooney Chair is funded by the Jarislowsky Foundation; William Dimma, former President of Toronto Star Newspapers Limited, former President, CEO and Deputy Chairman of Royal Lepage Limited, and former Dean of the Schulich School; and Gary Mooney, President and CEO of FNF Canada and a Senior Partner at Anderson Sinclair LLP. |
