Conferences and Seminars

The Hennick Centre for Business and Law presents conferences, seminars and symposia throughout the year on various topics of business, law and public policy.

Conferences and gatherings like these bring together experts in their respective fields and allow students to participate in panel discussions and presentations that shed light on policy debates, emerging trends and recent scholarship.

The Centre often presents conference events jointly with other organizations and affiliates, such as:

  • An annual program on the commercialization of intellectual property with IP Osgoode.
  • Various events with FAIR Canada including a conference about fiduciary standards and financial advisors.
  • A half-day seminar on Gender Diversity in Canada’s Boardrooms and C-Suites with the Institute for Feminist Legal Studies at Osgoode Hall Law School.
  • A policy consultation and resulting report, Corporate Social Reporting Initiative, with Jantzi-Sustainalytics.
