Mr. Panday spoke about his journey in the founding of ICICI Bank Canada, the role played by the legal team, current opportunities and challenges facing global enterprises in the prevailing economic climate, opportunities in the emerging markets with a focus on India, and finally, the clients’ perspective on how lawyers can assist their corporate clients navigate to success in this global environment. 

Hari Panday is the President, Wealth Management, North America Region, ICICI Bank Group, and full-time President & CEO, ICICI Wealth Management Inc., Canada. He led ICICI Bank Limited’s entry strategy into Canada as the President & CEO, ICICI Bank Canada. Under his leadership, the Bank built the ICICI Bank
Canada brand, opened eight branches, established an online banking platform and a financial intermediary channel, crossing $4 billion in assets in four years. In his current role, Mr. Panday is building a North American platform for providing onshore and offshore wealth management products, leading the origination of institutional and individual clients and managing the sales channel for the North America Region.
